Setting a ratioed keyframe
To use ratios, you must set one or more ratioed keyframes in the source column:
- Add a keyframe to the column (see Adding keyframes).
- If the Key Properties window is not already displayed, choose View > Properties, and click on the Key tab.
- Check the Ratioed box to make the keyframe use ratios.
- Click on the Ratio Panel button to display the Ratio Panel. Use this to set how the ratioed keyframe works; see Using the Ratio Panel below.
- When you have made all your settings, store them by clicking on the OK button.
- If you've made a mistake, you can instead click on the Cancel button to discard your changes.
A ratioed keyframe is shown in the XSheet as a gray keyframe with a letter 'R', to distinguish it from an ordinary keyframe.
You can mix ratioed and non-ratioed keyframes in the same column.
Note that for a ratioed keyframe:
- You cannot edit it in the XSheet; you must instead use the Ratio Panel.
- You cannot use the Properties window's Samples setting, because the keyframe's sample rate is derived from the source column.
- You cannot use the Parameter Graph to edit the parts of a column that are ratioed, because the values of the frames are derived from the source column.
